German Night!
A few weeks ago, continuing in our "___ Night" tradition, Frank and I had German Night! In case you don't know what this is about...Frank and I decided to try a fun new dinner plan in which we prepare food and try to immerse ourselves in the culture of one specific country or area. Frank found a (alleged) German recipe online, "German Chicken". I don't know if it's the most authentic meal we could've made, but let me tell you--it was damn good. I boiled up some egg noodles as a side dish because the grocery store didn't have spätzle, which is what I really wanted to prepare. It's a good thing I made the noodles though, because the sauerkraut in the chicken dish was quite overpowering and the noodles balanced it out a little. We drank Beck's, of course, and listened to "Traditional German Music" on Pandora AKA "Music That Sounds Like It Should Be On 'Game Of Thrones'". After an hour (yes, a whole hour) in the oven, the food was ready! We were going to watch "The Blue Angel" (German: Der blaue Engel), but Frank's brother came over to eat and somehow "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" showed up on the TV instead. Hmm..another day, mein Engel! ;)
P.S. - You may remember Jamaican Night from a few weeks ago!
P.S. Again - I wore this blouse because I felt it had a German vibe. It'll be for sale in my Instagram shop very soon!
