An April Weekend.

An April Weekend.
An April Weekend.
An April Weekend.
An April Weekend.

I realized last night that I haven't been writing enough here on the ole blog. I post plenty of photos, specifically of the vintage in my shop, which is what this blog is supposed to be for--a companion to the Etsy shop. (Run-on sentence alert, sorry friends!) Sometimes I feel like bloggers type too much about things no one cares about, and I think that's what deters me mostly. I'm going to give it a try today, and if you guys are bored out of your mind, just let me know. ;)

• The new vintage inventory project is wearing me down. I've never had a pile of inventory so large and so daunting. I've been working on it for weeks, and I'm not terribly close to my goal launch date (8 days from now). After much thought, I realize that I really don't like working alone on this kind of project. Frank helped out a few nights/weekends, as did my sweet sister (thank you both!). My mom just sat with me one day and kept me company, and even that helped. I know most people would love to work from home, but it is hard when the only beings you talk to all day (irl, not on twitter, ha!) are your dogs.

• Aside from all that whining, the clearance sale has been going pretty well. I decided to put all the vintage in the shop on sale to make room for all the new inventory coming in, and while I am making sales, I wish it was more! I told Frank the other day that I really believe no matter how successful I am, I'll never be happy with it. I'll always be thinking, "I can do better. I can do more." It's not the worst way to think, but not the best either. I don't want to be a millionaire, I just want to make enough money from the shop and blog sponsorships to continue to work from home and do what I really love.

• I had a mega-fun weekend. On Friday, a bunch of us went to the Zeppelin Hall Biergarten in Jersey City. In case you're wondering, I'm wearing a vintage beaded top that's coming to the shop soon! Saturday was my little cousin's 16th birthday dinner (#iamold). Sunday, I had diner brunch with Frank at the Golden Corner diner (same as this time), and then we did a little antique store browsing. I love going to antique stores and doing recon for when I have my own brick and mortar one day. ;)

Hope you all had a fun weekend too! Time to get to work. Wish me luck please! xoxox
