Updates.
• Remember me? I've been working on a big DIY project that has been sucking the life out of me. My muscles are goo. Does this mean I'm out of shape? Probably. There's no need to be secretive about it so I'll just say it--I'm building a table. As a person who works from home, I find that even the smallest problems or distractions can really upset my productivity for the whole day. One night, I was complaining to Frank about all the different roadblocks I face each day. As I was talking, all I heard was excuses, but Frank said they were valid issues that should be taken care of. I made a list of simple things that are standing in the way of my productivity and I'm working on them one by one. First up, I need a desk. A proper desk. Currently I work on my dresser, which I can't put my legs under, which means I end up sitting with my legs crossed. It's very painful and causes me to say "I have to lay down for a minute." Then work flies out the window. I wanted a specific kind of desk, and one that was sturdy. My mom and I started making it on Saturday and I worked on it every day since. I'm having trouble with the legs, though so I'm putting it on the back burner til next week. Frank's roommate is helping cut the legs for me, which was my biggest issue since I only have a hand saw. Hopefully the table will be done my Monday or Tuesday. I literally cannot wait to set it up and get to working! :D

• Busy weekend ahoy! My best friend Kim's birthday is today, and we're celebrating tomorrow. I have a friend coming in from Brooklyn tonight for the weekend, too. And tomorrow I think I'm doing a special photo shoot in Duke Gardens! Yay! Come to think of it, my [schedule]'s filling up pretty fast here (name that movie, go!). Maria and I booked our flights to Austin for the Texas Style Council. Anyone else planning on going? I am so excited to go back when it's not cold and rainy!
• "The Never-Ending To-Do List." This should be the title of my autobiography. I'm not trying to be one of those people who's OMG SO BUSY ALL THE TIME, but I really have the longest to-do list these days. It's mostly long-term stuff that I just have to start. Maybe once my desk is ready, I can tackle that bad boy to the ground...
Have a lovely weekend, my dears. Check back on Monday for lots of fun new stuff. If you're interested in sponsoring this ole blog, click here for more!
